UBC distance education programs were initially available through BCOU. Now, they can be obtained directly from UBC via Access Studies program. Most of the courses are offered in co-ordination with DE&T.
For completing a BCOU program via UBC distance education course, students should get a permission letter from BCOU. They should get registered through UBC Access Studies for transferring the UBC credit to BCOU. This credit is not applicable for BCOU residency requirements. Distance Education & Technology (DE&T)
This distance education wing of the University of British Columbia (UBC) offers a string of learning opportunities to enthusiastic students who do not want to attend regular classes.
